A Moment of Theatre of the Absurd

The events described in this nugget may, or may not, be historically factual, but, in the words of an author far greater than I, "Just because it didn't happen, doesn't mean it's not true."

Once, I had been seeing this girl for a while, her parents were real hippies, who had named all their children after grand virtues, but she just went went by PJ, to fit in a little better. When she took me home to meet her parents, at a family gathering, her father was rather upset that she had brought home a wild-haired hillbilly.

I told him, "Relax, man, I come in peace."
Her sister laughed.
That's when I found out that her given name was Peace Joy.
